Our Story

About Shoreline 206 Water Polo Club

Shoreline 206 Water Polo Club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to making water polo accessible and enjoyable for youth of all ages and skill levels across the greater Seattle and Puget Sound region. We believe every young athlete deserves the opportunity to experience the joy, discipline, and teamwork that water polo builds in and out of the water.

Our mission is simple: grow the game, develop the athlete, and build community. Whether your child is picking up a ball for the first time or training to compete at the highest levels, Shoreline 206 WPC provides a welcoming, high quality environment to learn, improve, and thrive.

We are proud to call Innis Arden Swim Club in Shoreline our home pool, while also practicing and hosting competitions at pools throughout the greater Puget Sound area, bringing the sport to more families and communities across the region.

Meet Our Head Coach & Director — Mira Ho

Coach Mira Ho is one of the most accomplished water polo educators in the Pacific Northwest, with over two decades of coaching experience spanning youth development, high school, collegiate, and national level competition.

Mira's love for the sport began at Lynbrook High School in San Jose, California, where she competed from 1997 to 2001 before earning her place on the University of Washington women's water polo team. At UW, she became team captain and club president, a natural leader both in and out of the pool.

After her playing career, Mira transitioned seamlessly into coaching, serving as head coach of the UW women's water polo program before going on to build and lead youth and high school programs across the Shoreline and Edmonds communities. She is the head coach of both the boys and girls water polo programs at Shorewood High School and spent nearly a decade developing young athletes through the Innis Arden Swim Club water polo program.

On the national stage, Mira serves as a select coach on the USA Water Polo Olympic Development Program (ODP), where she heads the Pacific Northwest Girls Development team. In April 2025, she was honored as Top Coach at the USA Water Polo Girls ODP National Championships in Salt Lake City, a testament to her elite level coaching and the talent she develops right here in the Pacific Northwest.

Coach Mira's philosophy is rooted in inclusion, growth, and excellence. She has spent her career opening doors for young athletes who might not otherwise find their way to the sport, and that same spirit is at the heart of everything Shoreline 206 Water Polo Club stands for.
